Green Beans Anyone?

Making your own baby food can be a fun and cost effective way for you to continue to provide the nutrients for your baby once he or she is ready to eat solids.

While I was pregnant last summer and canning my own green beans that were fresh out of my Grandma's garden, I decided that making my sons food sounded like something I would be interested in! Since then I have spent time researching and getting ideas on how to do so! Now yesterday was my first shot at making green beans, I also mixed up some bananas! Here is how it went down!😉

Supplies Needed:
1. Blender to purée foods
2. Steamer
3. Ice cube trays

First I started out by steaming my green beans!
*The baby bullet steamer made it easy by providing a helpful guide for steaming times and water amounts!

After steaming my green beans for 7 minutes, I put them into the blender and puréed to desired consistency.

Then just pure the green beans into trays for freezing!
*This tray was a baby bullet tray however, I also used ice cube trays shown below for the bananas!

Once good and frozen (about 3-4 hours) I just popped the cubes out and put into freezer bags labeled with the date and contents! And it's a done deal! Quick and easy and I know exactly where it was made and what is in it! If you have contemplated making your baby's food as well, I encourage you to do so! I was back and forth worried about time and resources but it was so easy and honestly enjoyable for me!

My sweet Sawyer just couldn't hang while Mommy was mixing everything up!

Have a wonderfully BLESSED day!!!
Xoxo
