Sawyer's 1st Haircut!

No more baby mullet! Yesterday was a big day around here, we took Sawyer for his first haircut! I have to admit I was the first one to be hesitant on cutting that precious baby mullet with those sweet little curls that melt my heart...but I knew it was necessary so as hesitant as I was, we still went through with it! We decided to take him to the same beautician that his Daddy goes to that way they can go together! 

I sat him up in the chair and he was not quit sure about what was going on while I wrapped the mock around him. He had hesitation all over his face! The cry however, didn't come until after he realized she was behind him with scissors! He was not having it....at all! We gave him a red sucker hoping that would take his mind off of what was going on which it did...for a min anyways. We finished the cut on Daddy's lap! We were all happy happy happy when it was over. 

Before becoming a mommy I never dreamed a first haircut would be such a big deal and something I dreaded at the time. It's so unbelievably hard for me to allow Sawyer to hit the necessary milestones becoming a toddler, haircut being one of them. As much as I LOVE seeing him do so many new things, there are also things that break my heart knowing this is only the beginning and he is growing up so fast! Always bittersweet! I suppose we can mark this milestone of first haircut down in the books!
