Quick food for toddlers.

In a dreamy world, myself being a great mother and wife I would cook a big fancy meal every night for dinner with my beautiful family sitting around my (greatly missed at the time) farmhouse table for 6!

Now back to reality...this isn't a dreamy world and we are currently shacked up with my Grandma while working practically every night till sometimes 11 pm on our farmhouse that is ALMOST done! Since the move two months ago that sent our little family into a whirlwind of caotic living and off schedule lifetstyle, which might I add doesn't work well with my OCD type A personality, I have struggled with cooking good meals for my family!  Aside from all our recent deals with our housing, I also know I'm not alone in the struggle of time, we are CONSTANTLY on the go! Running errands, picking out stuff for the house, working on the house, meeting contractors, and did I mention CHRISTMAS in between all of that!?!

So I have spent some time in these recent months coming up with alternative options that are still healthy for my toddler for dinner plus snack time, food that is quick and easy! Here are a few of my recently found favorites that I decided to share!

1. Yogurt Blends: These are made by Gerber and my little dude LOVES them! They are still in the baby food isle, which I hardly travel these days considering his is 15 months and eating whatever we eat but these are great and he still enjoys them!

2. Diced Carrots: Made by Libby's and found right by the other canned veggies. These can be served at room tempature or warmed and served! I always warm ours but room tempature is an option which I love! The individually packaged makes them easy to throw in the diaper bag and run out the door!

3. Sweet Peas: BIG HIT around here! Sawyer loves his peas! These are just like the diced carrots and can be served either way! Quick and easy!

4. Diced Pears: Also individually packaged and quick and easy! You can find several other fruits like this such as the manderain oranges pictures above as well!

5. Go Go Squeeze: I have found that these are easier to carry in the bag that the ones below it in the plastic containers.

6. Mixed Vegetables: These are also made by Libby's. And served the heated or room tempature!

These are just a few of the on the go quick and easy food items that I feed my little on those days we are pushed for time! Pair any of these with a meat or just alone and its a meal or snack in between! A meal or snack that isn't baby food! And doesn't cost as much as those Gerber toddler meals!

I am open to hearing any additional ideas that you might have! I love finding new things to feed my little guy!
