A look back at 2014.

Reflecting back on 2014, I can't help but be overly thankful once again that God has blessed my family and I in so many ways. This was the first year for my blog and I couldn't be happier and more thankful for all the love and support I have been given by all my closest friends, family, and those I have met along the way! Our sweet Sawyer turned 1 this year, we sold our home to move on to bigger and better things, Daniel and I celebrated our 3rd year of a blissful marriage, and we found out that God is once again blessing us with a 2nd sweet bundle of joy that is expected to arrive in June 2015! We have many things to be happy for and happy we are! I can't wait to see what 2015 holds for us! For starters we will be moving into our newly renovated farmhouse in January and will be bringing home a second baby in June! My heart is so full!

Whatever the reason, I don't typically get too excited over setting New Years resolutions, probably out of fear of letting myself down! BUT...this year I would like to get more involved in my blog and actually take the time for myself to do what I love! I love looking back on all our family's adventures and obstacles in life! It is such a joy to have all our memories in one location and have the ability to share with all of you a glimpse into our life as the Bohall's

I hope you all can look back on 2014 with joy in your heart for the memories made and if 2014 brought you more obstacles than joys, I hope you can look ahead to 2015 and imagine the great things to come! Thank you all for your support and lovely comments in 2014, I look forward to sharing with you the joys and memories to come in 2015!

The Farmhouse Project. Before paint

It's....almost....time for paint!! Eeek! I spent my morning prepping the drywall for paint! Seems like it would be such an easy task, but let me tell you...it's NOT fun! Anyways on to painting tomorrow...fingers crossed! There is still a little wiping down walls to be done but hopefully with the help of my Momma we can get it done! After paint we just have the finishes! Doors, upstairs windows, install cabinets/countertops, flooring, stair banisters, lighting fixtures, trim, and the million other things on this list lol! Here's to hoping we finish in a month!! Here are the pictures of the house with drywall!

The 12th week of bumpin!

These weeks are sure flying by! 12 weeks down and 38 to go! This week not a ton has changed, my nausea hasn't shown its ugly face all week although certain things such as Sawyer's dirty diapers make me cringe! My stress level has gotten a little out of control and my hormones have blown a gasket more than 5 times this week! Mostly over our house remodel and the deliveries that ARENT showing up when they are supposed to! Ugh! On a lighter note I scheduled our gender reveal for the beginning of January! I can't wait to find out if Sawyer will have a baby brother or baby sister! My feeling this week is sister but typically it's always brother so we shall see!

Unfortunant part of this week is I had to get my blood work done! As silly as it seems I have seriously been prolonging this nessassary part of pregnancy care for at least 2 months now and with one day to spare I took the plunge! My Mom came to spend time with Sawyer and I today so she sat in the car with him while he took a nap and I went to get poked! I sat in the car for about ten minutes before she finally asked if I was going to go in! I laughed and told her of my fear and she replied with "seriously Ashley, you've already birthed a baby!" Hahaha yes we both found that funny and as much as that makes sense, it still doesn't make it any easier for me!!

My bump is growing by the day and I am realizing this "second baby syndrome" people speak of is holding true! Although I am way bigger this time around vs when I was preganat with Sawyer, I am secretly loving and embracing my big belly as I am reminded how much I love being pregnant! Yes I know for some of you that is hard to believe, but I do love being pregnant! I love knowing I am growing a miracle inside and soon will be able to hold my precious baby!

Cravings this week continue to include carbonated beverages and anything sweet!

The doctor said everything looked great and the heartbeat was great as well! Always a relief to hear that heartbeat no matter how many times you go to the doctor! I assume this holds true for any Momma to be! Next appointment on January 21st to see our little peanut again! Oh the love I have for this child...

And last but not least an updated pic of the bump....

No more boo boo's for baby.👎

The time has come.

I knew 14 months ago that my day would come, the day I would have to give up nursing my sweet Sawyer, the day our special bond would come to a hawlt. Although the deep sadness I feel within will eventually leave, I hope the bond and memories I have of giving my Sawyer what only I can provide will never fade from my memory!

When this journey began, I could have never imagined the impact that it would have on me, I could have never imagined how I would feel when my baby needed what only I could provide, And I could have never imagined the amount of chores I could do all while having a small infant attached to my breast! Choosing to nurse my first born has been by far the biggest learning experience as a mother I have dealt with but by far the most rewarding also! When I was pregnant I used to try and imagine how it would be or how bad it would hurt being that the pain is vertually all people seem to want to talk about! And yes people, it is painful BUT the pain goes away and delivers the biggest reward you can imagine! At this point all I can say is THANK GOD I didn't allow all the negative ideas on breastfeeding to steer away my decision! I prepared myself for the worst and believe me, it's a good thing, because at the time when hormones are OUT OF CONTROL that's just what it is, the worst! That first few days I remember being sooo tired and sooo sore, I felt as if I was being torchered every time Sawyer was hungry! That may sound bad of me to say but it's the truth! When you are still in the hospital and tired from no sleep and hello just had a 6 lb 14 oz small child come out of your vajaja and low and behold that beautiful small child is crying for you to nurse and you have 6 visitors all while having cracked and bleeding nips!😳 um yea it's no walk in the park! But I assure you IF you can get through it, and you can! Because after all, I did! It will be one of the most rewarding mommy chores you will experience!!
All good things must come to an end as they say, and so it has. I suppose I will look at this as a small 6 month break till our next sweet baby arrives! Here's to more memories to come!

Xoxo!

Phase 3. The Farmhouse Drywall

The drywall is going up! Now just waiting on it to get finished! Yay!!! Seeing the before I am still wondering whose house this is!?!? It sure doesn't look like the same one we committed to!😂

Upstairs closet coming along.

Sawyer's future playroom!

Where the kitchen will soon be.

Looking into what will be the dining room!

The large hole between the windows will eventually be our double front door that sits between the living and dining room.

Our living room.
